A desolate, moonlit night; a piercing howl; an unnerving appearance. Harvard doctoral candidate Dulcie Schwartz wishes her encounter had been a scene straight out of the mysterious eighteenth-century manuscript she's transcribing. But tonight she definitely heard a wolf-and saw her advisor Martin Thorpe acting strangely-near where a student named Nina was savagely attacked.
