Beau McAllister is a veteran Montana state trooper with a smart mouth and quick trigger finger. Called to the scene of a wild shoot-out at Joe Bell's gas station-Bell and his shotgun against a band o Dakota Indians armed with bows and arrows-Beau gets himself into no small amount of trouble for shooting the gas station owner in the butt.
